Worship with us: Sundays, 10:15am

Alleluia! Beginning on July 11, 2021, we will be worshiping in our Sanctuary and on ZOOM, as long as COVID ACT NOW designates Morris County 'yellow.' The details for joining ZOOM and worshiping in person are below.

BULLETIN FOR JULY 25, 2021

BULLETIN FOR AUGUST 1, 2021

If you plan to attend in person, please read these instructions:

-Do not attend worship if you or members of your household have symptoms, even if they are mild.

-Visitors to the church for worship or programming are encouraged to wear a mask, especially if they are unvaccinated. Masks are encouraged, but each person and family can decide what is best for them.

-Social distancing is still an important requirement for church participation. We ask that each person respect the needs and health of others and maintain a distant, yet friendly greeting!

-Fellowship time after worship is outdoors. Please exit the building immediately after worship and keep the church hallways clear for everyone to enter and exit at a safe distance.

-Feel free to enter and exit the sanctuary by any door--from the parking lot, double glass doors, or from the red doors on the Route 10 side of the building.

-We can't sing, but we can still worship!

-The first Sunday of the month is Communion Sunday. We use prepackaged Communion kits, that contain gluten. If you need an alternative bread, please bring it with you.

- An inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 exists in any public place where people are present. Covid-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting our establishment, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to Covid-19. Help keep each other healthy.

One body

one loaf

communion bread recipe

If you'd like to partake of 'one loaf' for the Sacrament of Communion, follow the church-wide recipe below to make your own 'quick bread' to bless, break, share, and eat.

ONE LOAF RECIPE

'Quick Bread' is just that: quick. It's fast and made with ingredients you most likely already have, or your neighbor has :)

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 egg

1 cup milk

1/3 cup vegetable oil

Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 350. Grease the bottom and 1/2 inch of the sides of a loaf pan. Set aside.

2) In a large bowl stir together the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. In a medium bowl beat the egg with a fork and stir in the milk and oil. Add the egg mixture all at once to the flour mixture. Stir just until moistened.

3) Spoon the batter into the pan. Bake for 55 or 60 minutes until a wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Then turn out the loaf to cool entirely. Wrap and store over night. (or eat warm. I did ;)

Delicious Add-Ins (to remind us of the sweetness of God's love):

-Cinnamon and sugar. Add half the batter to the pan, sprinkle 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1 teaspoon sugar over the batter, and follow with the rest of the batter and another 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Swirl the batter with a knife, making upward circles to marbleize the loaf! (Pastor Sarah's favorite add-in!)

-Cranberries. Fold 1 cup of chopped cranberries into the batter before putting it in the pan. (You could always add the cinnamon and sugar, too!)

-Blueberries. Fold 1 cup of fresh blueberries  into the batter before putting it in the pan. (You could always add the cinnamon and sugar, too!)

Join us for Worship!

Every Sunday, 10:15am, All Ages

We are a comfortable, come as you are congregation. The participation of children and youth is celebrated. Our worship includes congregational singing, scripture readings, a sermon, and prayers to focus our minds and hearts on God, and we celebrate the Sacrament of Communion every first Sunday of the month. Everyone is welcome at the Communion Table.

The Senior Choir leads our singing and offers inspiring anthems, and the Joyful Noise Bell Choir plays once a month. We often hear the sound of piano, organ, and an occasional guitar in worship, and members of all ages are encouraged to share their musical gifts in worship.

Children and youth leave the Sanctuary and go to Church School at 10:30am. Young children—infants through age two—are invited to join volunteers upstairs in the day care room at that time or stay in worship with their parents. Children who attend Church School will join their families in the Fellowship Hall after worship.

You are invited to greet Pastor Sarah, a deacon, and our liturgist after worship and then join us in the Fellowship Hall for Coffee Hour. Light refreshments are served during this beloved time of fellowship.
